"If I have a thousand ideas and only one turns out to be good, I am satisfied."
+
“That's a difficult one. Scientists are asked to referee a lot of papers and to a certain extent we have to believe each other as to the validity of the data.”

A person may produce a thousand ideas that can be put into papers, which scientists are often asked to referee. If one of my ideas turns out good, I’m satisfied. While some ideas are not viable, the validity of the data should not be doubted as people need to believe and have trust in others.
